Ryan at their venue, Salvage One, met their florist and hammered out every detail of their wedding day. This is exactly what we needed. Today, we're typing up our notes and making an itinerary for the whole day.After leaving Salvage One, we headed out to RoPo to pick up the dress forms from some amazing chicas in my life (thank you thank you, Brianna and Ruth!) and to our surprise...they MATCH! Hurray!
Then we headed to the dollar store and Target (tip: stay away from Dollar Trees in Roger's Park. Just sayin'. It was an adventure). We were at Target for a good two hours, so long that the guys working there that we kept bugging started laughing at us. But we did get everything on our VERY long list. And I'm totally gonna write it all down, type it up and tape it in the case, because there is so much in it that we won't know what we have!
We somehow fit all of that into our adorable little wheelie case. THAT was a decision, but we ended up getting quite a deal on an adorable pink polka-dot case that is absolutely perfect for us. It even came with two extra bags, one in which we stored the "beauty" stuff and one that we put all of our extras in. I can't wait until one of our brides says "Omg, I forgot to shave!" and we pull out the disposable razor and shaving cream. Very exciting.Our only sadness is that we couldn't organize it the way we wanted. Oh well. We'll make a list. :)
We also bought walkie-talkies at Best Buy, and while the walkies were perfect, the headsets we bought to go with them didn't work! Thanks, Best Buy employee who didn't really know what he was talking about. So we have to take a trip back to get headsets that do work.
Other than that, WOAH, super productive day! We feel so much more prepared than we did before, and we cannot wait til next Saturday. We feel so good about this business. We just...seem to have a flair for wedding planning. It's the theater + psychology + OCD that makes it a perfect combination for us. We are LOVING it.
